Bridal Shower at the Pomegranate Restaurant and Gathering Place | Roanoke Wedding Photographer
This past Saturday was my sweet sister in law’s bridal shower!! This girl is after my own heart when it comes to details! She and her maid of honor, Kala, put together the beautiful center pieces on the tables and made so many other cute decor pieces. Her sense of style fits her personality so well and they really put their Pinterest skills to work. I will make sure to link the pins they used because I want to replicate some of these pieces for my house, especially the centerpieces on the tables!!!
Sarah (aka meemaw or meems) found this quaint local restaurant that was the perfect venue for the bridal shower. We had a lively bunch that may have interrupted some guest’s meals on the other side of the room (oops) but we had so much fun! We played 3 popular bridal show games and ate so much delicious food!!
The first game was the famous cellophane wrap game where while the music played you tried to unravel the giant ball of goodies to get whatever fell out! The only thing was, we may have used too strong of wrap for this game… It was heavy duty wrap and it ended up taking a little longer than expected! I was enjoying the amazing playlist Kala put together but I could tell people were ready for that Panera gift card at the center of the ball!
The next game was the classic toilet paper dress! People really got creative and even gave the brides a veil (photo of the winners below). The last game was a super cute game of Jeopardy!! I failed as the photographer because I did not get any photos of this game (oops!!)! I was doing my other bridesmaid duties by keeping score for the teams!! The questions were actually pretty tricky! You really had to know Mariana and Jared to get them right. The loud mouth team (that wasn’t their team name thats just what I called them) ended up winning Jeopardy. Christa, Gwynn, Mary, and the returning trivia champion Jenn won by a long shot!!
The food was delicious and hit the spot for an afternoon bridal shower. The flatbread with andouille and asiago was divine! That was my favorite of the day and I definitely want to get that recipe!! There was also a delicious Chicken Salad, Fresh tomato Caprese Salad, and a giant Fruit and Cheese Plate! Now for my favorite part… DESSERT!
The Pomegranate Restaurant and Gathering Place served a dessert trey with Mini Lemon Bars and Chocolate Chip Cookies! The lemon bars were my favorite!! Mariana also had another craving for dessert, CUPCAKES! She order 3 dozen cupcakes from Angela Hudson and as I am writing this there are only 3 left. THREE!! Oh my word those cupcakes are out of this world! I can’t wait for Mariana’s wedding cake in May!!
Enjoy some of my favorite images from Mariana’s Bridal Shower!!
