This bridal portrait session was extra special to James and I. Mariana is James’ little sister and she is now officially my sister twice as she married my little brother. James and I take a little credit in them finding each other as we force them to hang out as we were dating! It is always interesting to describe all of our relationships to people but honestly I wouldn’t have it any other way!
I have been so looking forward to photographing this beautiful bride! She has always been a beautiful girl inside and out but this bridal look just blew me away! This past weekend Jared and Mariana tied the knot and it was such a special occasion to be a part of! Being a bridesmaid also gave me the rare experience as a wedding vendor to be pampered by the best in the business! I have always been a fan girl of the incredible Laci Fore Makeup Artistry and I was beyond excited to work with her as a bridesmaid! Laci made me feel so confident and beautiful! I wish I had her for my wedding back in 2015. I think my favorite collaboration with Laci is an engagement session a few years back where it rained during our shoot and my bride’s makeup was FLAWLESS even after the my poor couple was drenched! I plan on writing about that in a post soon, so stay tuned!!
To finish my wedding day look we headed to Coiffeur Collective and Michelle made my short hair look amazing! I love beautiful long curls like Mariana’s look but as you know, I cut my hair off last fall! So I was honestly not excited about my hair but Michelle made me feel so beautiful! I loved having my hair up and she made it look so good and so me. It was so nice having my “friendors” take such good care of my family! The wedding day was perfect and I can’t wait to see the wedding day photos by Nicki Ahrens Photography !
These bridal portraits turned out beautifully! Mariana choose the most perfect dress and veil. The lace detail on this Stella York wedding gown was stunning and my favorite part is the detail on the back!! And just wait till you see her cathedral veil!! Long veils like cathedral veils give bridal portraits and wedding day portraits so much variety! It adds such a delicate feminine touch to your images and wedding photographers like me LOVE them!!
