Old City Cemetery Bridal Portrait Session | Lynchburg Wedding Photographer

Today on the blog I am sharing a bridal portrait session inspired by the movie 27 dresses! If you have seen that movie you can probably guess that Alex has been in all of her friends’ wedding. But now it’s her time to to shine as the bride!! And what a way to celebrate these portraits than to include your best friends?!

Even though this was my first time including bridesmaids at a bridal portrait session, I am almost thinking this should be the new normal for these portraits! What a fun way to incorporate your best friends as well as show off your dress?? These girls were hyping her up the entire time!! Seriously they were so much fun and even helped me with her veil, flowers, and poses.

PS: If you want to do this with your girls, make sure you did what they did and enjoy a nice dinner together afterwards!!

When Alex & Ivan first inquired I was immediately smitten with their story and Alex’ excitement about her day!! Her joy and excitement is so contagious! But Alex and Ivan were planning a New Years Eve wedding that would take place after the sunset. Because of my style of photography, I knew I wouldn’t serve them as well as other photographers who specialize in flash photography in the area!!

So I sadly had to refer Alex to another photographer even though she is everything that exemplifies an Emily Hancock Bride!!! But I think she can be an honorary EHP Bride!! What do you think?? I was happy to able to work with Alex in some way through her wedding planning by doing this session with her and I have to say, it’s inspired other brides to do the same with their girls!! So let’s make this a thing shall we???
