Summer Glass Hill Wedding | Glass Hill Wedding Photographer
Our first BIG wedding at Glass Hill made life in the wedding world feel normal again. I know that right now my sweet couples are STRUGGLING to finalize wedding plans so that their guests are safe and their investment is worth while. Planning a wedding can be expensive and when you throw a curve ball like a pandemic on top of things it really makes things complicated. Abby and Taylor have been such troopers throughout this entire experience!
James and I loved to get to know them at their engagement session and in the final weeks of planning Abby had some bridal portraits done. I could tell she wanted to finally be MARRIED to Taylor! The forecast for their day wasn’t in their favor either… In fact it was not only raining but STORMING during their first look and portrait time! Thankfully because they shared a first look we were able to keep a flexible schedule so that they could still take beautiful portraits around the property!
This year has been such a unique reminder that wedding days are not all about the decor, theme, dancing, food, etc. The wedding day should be about the couple and their marriage! Abby and Taylor did just that! They never once complained about the rain in fact they stood in it embracing each other and sharing the most sentimental gifts! These two had the most unique gifts I have seen in years!! For example, Abby gave Taylor a compass that was engraved and a picture frame that showed the exact alignment of stars in the sky for their wedding day! Being a pilot I am sure these sweet customized gifts really meant a lot to him!! Taylor not only surprised Abby with her favorite coffee that morning and chocolates in the bridal suite, he also gave her beautiful customized wine glasses!
The way these two love each other is such a perfect example what marriage is about. Loving one another and putting the other’s needs before your own is a huge part of marriage. I loved being apart of their wedding day and the beginning of their legacy!
Enjoy my favorite moments of this summer Glass Hill wedding day!

Vendor Highlights:
This Glass Hill Venue wedding in Goode, Virginia featured some amazing vendors and the links to their websites are below!
Venue: Glass Hill Venue I just photographed a wedding at this elegant and modern venue just outside of Lynchburg. This property just sweeps you off your feet in so many ways!! The mountain views, the gorgeous bridal suite, the welcoming feel of the reception space, and the experience as one of their brides is just exceptional. I can’t believe my couples can have views like this so close to town!! This past weekend at Glass Hill is one I won’t forget and I am counting the days until I photograph my next wedding at this beautiful property!!
Planner: Julie Rupert Events This was our first wedding working with Julie and she did a fantastic job keeping everyone on schedule and putting together all the details for this wedding. She was very informative before and during the wedding which made my job 1000% easier that day. I don’t know how she did it but every time I needed her for something she was right there or close by ready to help. In fact, this dedicated lady was there in the rain carrying umbrella’s out us, held bouquets, fixed bouquets, and so much more! That is just what an experienced planner does I suppose?? I am so appreciative of her hard work this past Saturday and I hope to work with her again soon!!
Florist: Fleur by Heather I just photographed a wedding at Glass Hill Venue where I was able to work with the widely known and loved florist!!! I have loved watching Heather grow her amazing business over the past few years and have been dying to work with her on a wedding day for the longest time! Her bouquets, ceremony decor, and STUNNING floral arch for the photo booth backdrop added the perfect touch for Abby & Taylor’s day! If you are in need of a florist, Heather is your girl!!
Dessert: Blue Cow Ice Cream Truck I just photographed a wedding at Glass Hill Venue where I was able to meet this team at Blue Cow Ice Cream. As a wedding photographer I have seen and tasted a lot of desserts and cake at weddings over the years. However, ice cream is my absolute FAVORITE dessert and when I found out there was going to be an ice cream truck at this reception I was beyond excited! This fun and unique dessert was definitely a crowd favorite at this wedding and I cannot wait to work with this team again!!
