West Manor Estate Engagement Session | Virginia Wedding Photographer
This year we have focused on education for our business to grow to the next level. It has not always been easy but we have been inspired to improve our client experience to feature our couples on our blog! I used to think that posting on Facebook and Instagram would be enough to showcase the photos from each session. But ever since I started blogging, I have really seen how people LOVE reading about my EHP couples! We get messages all the time from friends and families of our couples, previous clients, and people from all over the world! I think it is so cool how people connect with our couples’ story and are excited to see their wedding day through these blog posts! How cool is that??
So today on the blog, I’m sharing this engagement session with Chris, Kristen, and their fluffy fur babies at West Manor Estate! Chris and Kristen are like the perfect EHP couple!! They had such a good attitude about working in the HOT sun, they became posing pros so quickly, they chose a beautiful venue, and they are fellow Hokie fans!! I just love these two. They brought their two fur babies to the session (Bear and Beamer) and they are the cutest little fluff balls you’ve ever seen! I’m sure you know that James and I have two very LARGE dogs so whenever we can play with cute little fluffy pups we just love it.
We explored the property of West Manor Estate and had so much fun chatting with Chris and Kristen. We took the first half of our time together to focus on the pups and include them in poses. I always love working with dogs of all kinds because we are “dog people’‘ and we know our fur babies are a part of our family too! Including your pups can be so much fun as long as you are patient with them! Like kids, they are unpredictable. James and I have plenty of experience with all kinds of dogs and these two have got to be some of the most well behaved dogs we’ve worked with! I can’t wait to show you what Kristen had made just for our session!
I LOVED their outfit choices so much and thought they matched the feel for this classic engagement session! I recommend that my couples plan out two outfits just so that they can have variety in their images. Wearing a more casual outfit that shows your personality is so important to us because let’s be real, we don’t always look fancy 100% of our life. However, I know that my couples have invested in the EHP Wedding Experience so wearing a more classic look will create the images expected from their engagement session.
Chris’ casual outfit was right up James’ alley! Whenever we shop at a Ross or TJ Maxx James is always on the hunt for shirts like Chris’ blue Under Armour shirt. I love that even though it is a manly sporty look it also has a classy touch with the collar and a simple logo. I never thought I would recommend dry fit material for my grooms but this look really worked well! Kristen actually sent me a sneak peek selfie of her outfit and I knew that 1) we would be great friends because she has great taste (I would definitely wear both of her outfits) and 2) this would be the perfect outfit combination for my next “Wedding Wednesdays with Em” series blog post! **Spoiler alert** I am going to be sharing some outfit inspiration for an engagement session!! Look out for that post in a few weeks!!
