Fall Sundara Wedding | Roanoke Wedding Photographer
Our first Sundara wedding was a success!! James and I love exploring new venues. This one is a stunner! On wedding days it can be difficult sometimes to keep the bridal parties separate. But not at this venue! The girls had a beautiful bridal suite complete with a large window and access to a private porch (with a swing)!! The light was amazing on that porch!! The guys had a pool table in the basement and were hidden on the other side of the house. So keeping everyone separate was so easy! We had to keep them separate and coordinate a spot to do their first look no peek! Charlie and Maggie wrote sweet letters to each other and exchanged them at the first look!
Maggie was so sweet in gifting not only Charlie, her flower girls, and bridal party, but also her sweet daddy! James is my quiet sidekick usually but on our ride home he told me the SWEETEST moment he had with Maggie’s dad! Her dad opened her gift which was a stitch message on a handkerchief and started tearing up! He didn’t know it but James saw this sweet moment and grab a shot or two. Her dad then said “You just wait till your daughter gives something like this to you on her wedding day… you’ll be crying too!” I’m not crying… you’re crying!!
It was our first time working with Cari at Sundara and she was such a joy! I love working with vendors that genuinely care about their couples like James and I do. It was just so refreshing to work with all the friendly and hardworking vendors at this wedding! As a bonus, I had a mini high school reunion in the bridal suite!! Check out the talented hair stylist in my vendor list at the bottom of this post! Not to mention that was the best wedding catering I have had in a while! I loved how unique these two decided to go with their dinner choices! I think my favorite thing was the chicken and waffles!! It was all so delicious! Also they had 4 tiers of cake and it was just about gone so you know it was amazing if people went back for seconds!!
I wish we had just a little sunlight popping through the clouds for portrait time but the overcast sky kept the rain away until the reception! So we were thankful for that!! We missed out on a sparkler exit but dancing the night away was just as good an exit for these two. Check out some awesome dance moves below. We love live bands for weddings because usually the guests are more lively on the dance floor! And trust me when I say this crowd was gettin jiggy with it!! Haha!
Enjoy a few of my favorites from this Fall Sundara Wedding!
