Elegant Rustic Wedding at Sinkland Farm | Roanoke Wedding Photographer
We headed down to Christiansburg, Virginia to celebrate Nick & Ariana at the beautiful Sinkland Farms! We hadn’t been to this venue before but heard about the incredible views from the ceremony site!! And everyone who I’ve talked to was right!! The views at this venue are one of a kind and you better believe we used those views during golden hour!!
We actually were supposed to be working this wedding a year ago. Like many couples, Nick & Ariana had to make a difficult call to postpone their wedding day. Ariana had lots of family that were traveling for this day and because of the pandemic they couldn’t travel. Now I remember having hard conversations with them about postponing or canceling and I have to say that I think they made the right decision. Their family and friends were able to come and I can honestly say I think everyone had so much fun by how packed the dance floor was!
But if there is one thing I have noticed about weddings now it’s that guests are much more patient and there is a focus on family. Now that restrictions have mostly been lifted and parties can continue as normal it’s been so refreshing to see everyone at weddings enjoy time together! It really shows in the photos that people are grateful to see, hug, and dance with friends and family again.
And when I saw this family can dance, I mean they can dance!! In fact, Ariana’s dad pulled ME onto the dance floor and taught me how to dance a bit. I was actually pulled out on the dance floor a few times by the bridesmaids, Ariana’s family, and Nick!! If you know me, you know I like the dances like Wobble & Cha Cha Slide but when it comes to other dances I am not your girl… but I did enjoy trying some new dances and loved that even my EH Groom brought me out on the dance floor!!
James and I had so much fun being apart of this wedding day and can’t wait to share some of our favorites from the day here!! PS: I may or may not have included the proof that I was out dancing!! 🙂
