Farmhouse Chic Wedding in Bedford, Virginia | Rustic Barn Wedding in Bedford, Virginia
I have been looking so forward to this day for so long! Why you ask?! Because Grant and Kathryn are just so stinkin cute and remind me of when James and I first were married all those years ago. The way they interact, how they laugh and enjoy the little moments together, intentionally love & serve each other (& everyone in their lives really), and well…. because they are fellow Hokies!
We also got to hang out with another one of our EH Couples that day (getting married later this summer!). Which normally would make me a little nervous but Caitlin & Kathryn are similar souls and I just adore them both!!! Caitlin was a huge help in coordinating parts of the day with the bridal party actually! Sadly it rained right as soon as their first look finished up. And we quickly moved Grant & Kathryn under cover just in time for the skies to open up! The less than 25% chance of rain decided to grace us with a thunderstorm.
But instead of freaking out about the rain, everyone was ready to be flexible along with us to get some more “low-key” photos done like individual bridal party photos done, some family formals, and more standard bridal party photos. Caitlin helped me gather up all the bridal party and soon enough the rain stopped so we could get some more fun and relaxed bridal party photos!
And they are so lucky because it stopped raining just in time for their ceremony & their newly wed photos! And because the light was so even with the partly cloudy skies we were able to take these two on a walk down to the pond at Old Mill Farm in Bedford, Virginia for some of my favorite portraits in awhile!!
I could play with veils like Kathryn’s for hours if given the chance haha If you are a bride reading this and want beautifully styled veil photos on your wedding day please find a long and light weight veil like this one! We loved exploring the different backdrops at Old Mill Farm! It was our first wedding there and we were able to meet the sweetest & hard working staff!
It really does take a team to put together a wedding, especially when rain is in the forecast. And I felt like somewhat of a celebrity because the owner of Old Mill Farm Venue, Robyn, knew who were and was so excited to have us at their venue!!
This wedding season is the first time more vendor friends are recognizing our team before we introduce ourselves! And believe me, we are so grateful for all the support and encouragement!! 🙂 Please enjoy my favorite moments from this rustic wedding at Old Mill Farms in Bedford, Virginia!! And enjoy your Memorial Day Weekend!!!
