Rustic Elegance Wedding at The Seclusion
Lexington, Virginia Wedding
So much planning went into creating this stunning yet simple elegant wedding at The Seclusion! Hunter has been one of my detail oriented brides this year and it makes my Type-A heart so happy!! Working with Zach and Hunter through their engagement session at King Family Vineyard and, of course, their elegant wedding at The Seclusion has been the best! We loved getting to know them more throughout the planning process and Hunter, I will miss our Facetime calls!!!
And while we did all the planning we could prior to the wedding, nothing could have prevented the weather we experienced last weekend. And if you’ve been following my weddings this year you may think what I’m thinking…. HOW CAN I HAVE ANOTHER RAINY WEDDING DAY?! Seriously the weather this year has been wild. But I guess you could say that James and I are R E A L L Y prepared if rain effects your wedding! Of course, there was rain that messed up our carefully planned out timeline.
I’m so thankful I had the help of Julie Rupert Events because Julie and her team are always on top of things and right there when you need them! That’s a huge reason I LOVE working with Julie Rupert Events! Hunter, Julie, Abbey (with Abbey Dillard Photo & Video), and I had several conversations on how to structor the day to avoid the rain. And thankfully Hunter & Zach decided to share a first look so we could take advantage of getting more photos done before the ceremony!
Because they decided to share a first look we had several opportunities to get photos of them inside The Seclusion and out! I’m obsessed with their bonus portraits inside in the lounge area and those golden hour photos in the wildflowers!! I remember discussing the benefits of the first look with Hunter during our planning call and she mentioned Zach may not be super emotional. Even Zach on the wedding day said he wasn’t going to be super emotional but…
What I’ve found on wedding days is that when the groom is able to be with his almost wife before the ceremony (most the morning) he gets a little more in his feels for the ceremony! I think Zach shocked everyone when he started getting teary eyed seeing Hunter make her grand entrance! And you already know James was ready to get those tears on camera!
I’m so glad the rain ended just in time for the ceremony because the mountain views at The Seclusion never disappoint even if the fog and clouds were trying to take over the sky! I hope you enjoy reliving my favorite moments at Zach and Hunter’s beautiful wedding at The Seclusion in Lexington, Virginia!
