Roanoke Anniversary Session | Virginia Wedding Photographer
I LOVE celebrating marriage with my couples and I have discovered that anniversary sessions are one of my new favorite things! These two were so much fun at their wedding and this past weekend. They were one of the first couples who trusted us to capture their wedding day when we first started this business. So when they reached out wanting to celebrate their 3rd year anniversary I was so excited!
This location is so beautiful in the spring/summer time and we took advantage of the beautiful blooms every chance we got!! Check out this field of flowers! They were adventurous to get in the river with me for a few shots!
Talk about a DREAM couple!!
I have always wanted to take photos in river I mean what photographer doesn’t haha! I also love that even after three years of marriage they are still in the honeymoon phase and just as in love!
I know at least for a James and I, we have come along way since year one. Owning a business is hard enough as it is. We overcame a lot of challenges not only with our business but in our married adult life. Marriage takes a lot of work, time, patience, and teamwork.

when they see these anniversary photos.
We loved reconnecting with these two so much! It got me thinking about my current couples and what would benefit them most in such an important part of their life! So I asked Carla for a little help in coming up with their favorite date night and some advice to share with all our EHP couples. What better way to give advice than to ask those couples that have become stronger and more in love from their first few years of marriage!
I have to say that Carla and Josh’s advice really hit home for me. James and I have had to keep this mindset over the last few years as our life has been through so many challenges and so much change. It gave me CHILLS reading their advice!
Advice from Josh and Carla:
My advice is never forget you’re on the same team and your only goal is for the marriage to win.
Josh and Carla’s favorite date night:
Our favorite summer date is biking the greenway and then getting ice cream. Our favorite winter date is coffee shop and card games.
I cannot wait to see what lies ahead for their sweet family and I’m so glad we are small part of their story once again!! 🙂 I am already looking forward to my next Anniversary session!
