Chic & Elegant Barn Wedding at Ivy Rose Barn | Roanoke Wedding Photographer

I have been waiting for this chic and elegant barn wedding at Ivy Rose Barn since these two inquired with us earlier this year! If you are a photographer you probably understand why we’ve been wanting to shoot here at this venue… because it’s so inspiring and has the cleanest and brightest light which is what I need for my style of editing. I was NOT EXPECTING Francesca’s impeccable taste in falls colors and her pick of vendors to completely take this day to the next level! Can you tell I was inspired and happy to have this beautiful natural light??? But I’ve also been so anxious to get these two in front of our camera’s again because we just love them!!

While things were rocky leading up to this day, I’m so grateful for Fran & Cole’s amazing attitude and their rockstar team of vendors that rallied in the last week to make this day happen. It’s true that something will inevitably go wrong at every wedding, but having key vendors that will do whatever it takes to make things happen is exactly what you need to get the end result these two did!!

Natasha with Top Shelf Event Services & Michael with Hand Tied Creations and Planning absolutely saved the day at this Ivy Rose Barn Wedding!!! His new floral & planning company are going right on my referral list because I have to see what this man can do with more than 72 hour notice for florals!! I mean the arrangements he did are STUNNING!!!!

Anyways, I remember our last planning call with Cole & Fran before their wedding day because it wasn’t like my normal calls. We started out by talking about life outside of wedding planning (like normal) but we didn’t realize that they bought a house recently that is literally a street over from where James and I are buying our new house!!! We already love getting to hang out with our couples after the wedding day but now that we are right around the corner from these two, we already have some plans to hang out!! 🙂 But on this call they also filled us in on all that they had to navigate in the last few weeks. I can’t even imagine the stress if it were me, – Here is your friendly reminder to STOP GHOSTING people. It’s just rude… – but what did Cole & Francesca say when I asked how were they reacting to this stress??

“It doesn’t matter what else happens or isn’t at the wedding
because at the end of the day we just want to be married”

And ya’ll, while nothing else happened on their wedding day, I can’t say this enough… This is the attitude to have about your wedding day!! We love our EHP couples because this mindset sets everyone up for success even if accidents happen or the weather is bad. These two also made me love them even more because throughout the day they said they would do any photos we wanted and they trusted us to pick the locations, poses, etc. Having this trust and freedom to get creative is exactly what I need to get shots like these on a wedding day!

So please enjoy scrolling through this gorgeous wedding day and please don’t miss out on Cole’s (aka Mr Baby) reaction when he sees Francesca for the first time at their ceremony or the sweetest ending to the day with their last dance! I still get chocked up thinking about these moments!!
