Glass Hill Venue Engagement Session | Lynchburg Wedding Photographer
Our first engagement session was a cold one! We loved being back at one of our favorite wedding venues in the area though! We actually started this session in Downtown Lynchburg to give this sweet couple a little variety for their travel inspired engagement session. The cobblestone downtown is always one of my favorite spots to shoot in Lynchburg. I always love including the historical charm of our little city!
Abby even brought the cutest antique looking trunks to the shoot to add simple and cute detail to her photos. She bought them at Hobby Lobby!! Those who know me know I love that store and I am so blessed to now have their store 15 minutes away. So we discovered our shared love for all things Hobby Lobby and the boys shared the struggle of reigning us in while we shop in Hobby Lobby! haha!
Half way through their session we made our way to the beautiful Glass Hill Venue! We weren’t the only ones there!! There were at least 2 tours while we were there for the shoot. I know they book up quick but I wasn’t expecting to see 2 tours in the hour we were there! So if you are interested in Glass Hill for your wedding I would book them as soon as possible!! I am thankful we had access to the warmth because let me tell you, the wind up there is insane! If it weren’t below 40 degrees we may would have enjoyed that breeze. I promised them that the next time we were there we would welcome the wind and breeze because they are getting married in August!!
We ended up taking a few breaks in between portrait locations to warm up a bit and finished up right as golden hour faded away. These mountain views never disappoint even during the bare winter! Even though it was cold, these two kept such a good attitude. That honestly makes the whole session a success! So I am very thankful for them trusting us to capture their engagement photos so quickly in such cold temperatures. We will be back at Glass Hill the summer a few times actually, so stay tuned for their travel themed August wedding at Glass Hill Venue.
