An Elegant Vintage Maridor Wedding in Roanoke, Virginia | Roanoke Wedding Photographer

Today I am sharing our SECOND wedding from this past weekend!! Yes, you read that right…. we shot a double header! This wedding was all in one location at the beautiful and historic property at The Maridor. We had never been to this venue before so we were excited to explore new photo opportunities!

This wedding day was probably one of the most laid back days we’ve worked! Katie had all of her details waiting for me in the bridal suite (I seriously wish all brides did this!!) and her bridesmaids were so sweet and helpful. The dusty blue color theme is always one of my favorites and I loved the elegant feel for all the details. We even were able to photograph her grandfather’s antique Ford during their bride and groom portraits!!

When Katie and I were walking through her questionnaire and details for the day she was so excited to share a special moment with her daddy. As a daddy’s girl myself, I LOVE photographing this moment on the wedding day! The Maridor has this beautiful staircase entrance where Katie had envisioned this moment and it did not disappoint. Tears were everywhere as she had a few moments with her parents before the ceremony. These weren’t the only tears shed! Jeff during the ceremony had everyone tearing up as he saw his beautiful bride for the first time that day! I can’t blame him because Katie was absolutely gorgeous!

I loved the vintage and elegant feel of this whole day! Katie even carried this theme into her dress style! This romantic and elegant lace dress with sleeves is absolutely beautiful!! If I were getting married right now I would definitely choose this dress!! Sleeves on a wedding dress are so easy to photograph because you don’t have to worry about hiding your arms! Most brides pull and tug on their sweet heart style dresses throughout the day but Katie didn’t have to worry about that because of her sleeves! Because she was so calm and organized before the ceremony that we were able to do extra bridal portraits on this gorgeous day, which made me so SO happy!!
