Our first wedding at Water’s Edge Country Club will forever be a special day for James and I! I always feel like we have a special friendship with all of our couples but these two were different. I truly feel like we were meant to serve their families and be a part of their story. Philip & April reached out a month or so ago about their wedding day and if they had inquired even 2 months before their day, I would not have been able to work with them!!

James and I actually had a wedding booked that day already but it was rescheduled due to COVID. So when Mary Jo, the talented florist behind Flowers by Gloriosa, sent them my way I was SO EXCITED we were available!! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, my business isn’t about filling dates. EHP is about serving incredible couples who are excited to marry their best friend. And that is exactly the story of Philip & April.

I have only known these two are a brief period of time but I can already tell that these two and their families are so warm and welcoming! It was so refreshing to spend this day with them by Smith Mountain Lake. If you have ever been to this beautiful property you already know incredible the views are and how many different locations there are for portraits! The quaint little chapel was the perfect backdrop for their ceremony and Mary Jo with Flowers by Gloriosa made it so dreamy with her floral arrangements.

This mini wedding day experience with these two was exactly what I needed as we continue to work through this busy summer/fall wedding season. I can’t wait for you to see all the beautiful details, stunning florals, and a bride and groom that has very accurately been described (by my Instagram followers) as my beautiful Disney Couple!! 🙂 Enjoy, Friends!
