Fall Smith Mountain Lake Engagement Session | Smith Mountain Lake Wedding Photographer
Today is a special day for guys! Because today I am sharing my best friend’s engagement session!! Carleigh has been my first ever and longest lasting friend I have ever had!! So when she asked me to her wedding photographer I’m sure you can imagine how excited and happy I was!!! Carleigh and I had so many sleepovers, long summer days at her backyard pool, and HOURS at a computer playing Nancy Drew Mystery games and playing school with her little sister Emma!!
The memories we have together have always been the best! Even though our girls days are not as frequent as we’d like them to be these days, I love that we can pick up where we left off like no time at all has passed!!
So it was about a year ago when I met Carleigh for a girls day at Carrabba’s and heard about this guy *not from Ohio* haha, David!! I could tell by the way she smiled and talked about him that there was something really special about this guy! Well this past weekend we were able to finally meet David!! And after our lunch date and engagement session, I think he is absolutely perfect for my best friend! He had us laughing the entire time and mastered even the harder poses we have our grooms do!! We enjoyed getting to him and spending time with these two down at Smith Mountain Lake!
Halloween was their anniversary (I had no idea!!) so they left in their fancier outfit to share a nice dinner together afterwords. That is actually something we recommend our couples do! Wedding planning (especially during the pandemic) and life in general can be hectic so it’s nice to share a dinner together and remember what this time in your life is really all about.
We were so honored to spend time with these two grabbing some lunch before the shoot and exploring Smith Mountain Lake State Park. Their outfits were everything my fall fashion heart desired and when you add the glow-y light next to the lake that is just fall perfection! I am so grateful David drove 12+ hours to spend a little time with us and can’t wait to see these two again in January!!
