Downtown Charleston & Pitt Street Bridge Engagement Session | Charleston Wedding Photographer

If you have been following my business for any amount of time you know that James and I absolutely LOVE Charleston, South Carolina. So when these two inquired about wedding photography and we found out that Connor was stationed in Charleston, we knew their engagement photos just had to be at our favorite place on earth!!!

Jordan and Connor were so much fun and so patient with me as I was like a kid in the candy store the whole time. I am always excited to work with each new couple but on top of my usual excitement I was in Charleston!! And I’m so glad they loved the locations we had in mind. We met them at this beautiful park overlooking the Cooper River called Pitt Street Bridge. This bridge was actually once a bridge that connected Mount Pleasant to Sullivan’s Island. And leave to my favorite city to repurpose a piece of history into a park!! My family has actually gone fishin and crabin at this spot but I knew it was on my “Charleston Bucket List” of places to photograph an engagement session!!

Our second location was going to be the same place my family has been vacationing for the last 10+ years: Isle of Palms. However, the gloomy weather kinda ruined those plans… To give their photos a little more life and joy with colors we headed downtown to most color spot we could think of: Rainbow Row. Now this popular backdrop is almost impossible to get without any other tourists photobombing.

And when we got there, there were several groups of bachelorette parties, ladies on a girl’s trip, families, etc. And I did something I don’t really like doing… talking to random strangers!! I went up to each group that were at Rainbow Row and took their group photos for them (iPhone style) and politely asked them to get out of our way hahaha!! And because of my southern charm they happily got out of our shots!! So I faced a fear to make these photos happen and I would do it again in a heartbeat because holy cow I am IN LOVE WITH THESE PHOTOS!!!! Connor & Jordan you are beautiful people inside and out and we are so honored to be a part of your story!!
