An Aviation Wedding at Tresca on 8th featuring a Disney Prince & Princess | Lynchburg Wedding Photographer

James and I met up with these two from their engagement session in Knoxville, Tennessee. They both are airplane pilots and love all things planes! So it was only fitting that this part of their life was incorporated in both their engagement session and wedding day!! Savannah had the cutest details with hints of her aviation theme like their guests book- an airplane prop- to hang on their wall. They also had the cutest table numbers because instead of the typical table 1 it was a different airport code!

So you can guess James and I had a fun time getting all the different details! And her dress was probably my favorite detail of the day!! AAHHH!!! I love a good ball gown! I feel that every bride should have that Disney Princess moment. So when Savannah came up to me before the ceremony and asked “This might be cheesy but I’d love to recreate the scene in Cinderella where she looses the glass slipper and prince charming picks it up!!” When I say that I was ecstatic to hear this request, that’s an understatement!!! You are definitely gonna want to see that photo below, it’s probably my favorite creative shot we’ve done in a LONG time!!!

And speaking of moments I won’t forget from this wedding… Jacob had me in tears a few different times!! Thier first look was the first time with his sweet reaction seeing his bride! We had Savannah and all of her ball gown glory cascading down the staircase in Tresca on 8th and I wish you could have heard his gasp! He was in tears, I was in tears, Heather the florist & Robin the Coordinator (setting up the ceremony decor near by) were in tears… Their sweet interaction was everything and it was definitely a highlight moment of the day!! 🙂

During their ceremony, Jacob had me tears again as he watched Savannah come down the aisle and then- I had to literally take a step back to clear the tears- for their vows! And he actually said something in his vows that hit close to home for me. I actually put it in my phone so I could remember it.

This cannot be more true! And that definitely applies to how they met at Liberty University! I can’t wait for you to hear it when Lea with Lea Aleta Video shares her video from the day!! But I absolute loved being a part of this day and being treated like a guest instead of a vendor. This is actually the second wedding ever that James and I had a reserved table in the reception instead of “the back room” or “the downstairs storage room” or “outside out of sight at a picnic table”. I know that our couples love us but moments like this truly make us feel like one of the family! So Savannah & Jacob, we love you guys!! 🙂
