Landon & Emily’s Blush Wedding at the Selcusion | Lexington Virginia Wedding
When I dream of a wedding day I imagine beautiful blush pink florals, stunning blue sky with fluffy clouds, a stunning view, vintage estate vibes, a laid back couple who wants to have fun, unique and custom details, incredible vendor team, and more. That is quite literally the description of this blush pink wedding at the Secluison in Lexington, Virignia!
Landon and Emily will forever go down as one of our favorite couples to work with in our career for many reasons. Let’s start with getting greeted by Mama Bair (Emily’s mama) as soon as we arrive to the wedding! I wish I could bottle up that conversation for the bad days of owning a business. When I say she gave us the highest compliments, I truly mean that! This might sound weird to say but I love working with genuinely good people! And Emily & Landon’s families and friends are just that.
Another reason we LOVED this wedding was becuase they chose not to have a bridal party and they also shared a first look. Does this mean I hate bridal parties??? Absolutley not! But it does make wedding days so much easier to cover and the getting ready spaces are so much more chill and calm. It fit their personalities so well to just have immediate family get ready with them and they wanted to spend intentional time with guests after the ceremony.
By sharing a first look they were able to get every typical cocktail hour photo done before the guests even arrived! They had time alone together during cocktail hour, they got to see all their guests before the reception officially started, we got some of my favorite photos of the day done, and even had extra time to eat some snacks. Snacks that Emily and Landon gave us in a welcome bag when we arrived to the bridal suite!! Like I said, there are several reasons we loved this day!
My last reason that this wedding is very special to us that this is the first wedding we have used next level luxury quality gear to photograph a wedding! We rented the brand new Fujifilm GFX100 ii and when I say that we are IN LOVE with these images…. I mean just look at the ceremony view!! The detail in the mountains & clouds, the colors, everything just pops! I am so glad Landon and Emily were the first ones we tested out this new gear for and because of this trial run with new gear, we may or may not be in the market to change our gear!!
