Winter Roanoke Engagement Session | Roanoke Wedding Photographer
Today on the blog I am sharing another winter engagement session in downtown Roanoke, Virginia. We had some deja vu because our last session was in downtown Roanoke too!! But Anah and I were discussing location ideas and we decided that Wasena Park was the perfect location to start our time together. And let me tell you, as soon as we met these two over a call months ago I knew we’d be great friends!
So I was very excited to meet them in person and hang out with them! We started out at Wasena Park and even though the trees were bare, we found some pops of color with the bridge that actually went along with the rich maroon color of Anah’s dress. So honestly, it worked out perfectly!!
Then like our last session downtown, we then made our way to my favorite “Roanoke Rainbow Row” Townhouses! These pastel and neutral colors are so much fun to use as a backdrop. And for the first time ever, their second outfit brought out their inner athletic aesthetics!
Up until now, I have never recommended wearing sweat pants to an engagement session… Like to me that’s a huge no no!! haha But Anah told me about her vision and because of how much this represents their personalities, I knew that was the perfect 2nd outfit for them!
To be honest, if I could look as good as these two wearing sweatpants and my work out gear I would wear that all the time!! Seriously though, I loved the vibe from the second part of this shoot so much and loved seeing these two in their element! I always recommend a fancier outfit showing off your best look but the 2nd outfit should be something that represents your personalities and the things you love to do together.
I’m glad Anah and Christian took this idea and ran with it!! Because I am definitely obsessed and will be adding them to my new and improved EHP Bridal Guide!! Enjoy a few of my favorites from this winter engagement session in Downtown Roanoke, Virginia and Wasena Park!
