Artistic & Elegant Wedding at the Taubman Museum | Roanoke Wedding Photographer

I am so excited to share this elegant and artistic wedding at the Taubman Museum in Roanoke, Virginia! Anah & Christian put so many sentimental details throughout the day along with displaying their own pieces of art! In fact, they are probably our most creative and sentimental couple we’ve worked with yet! For example, Anah added something special in her bridal details for me style. The first bouquet of flowers Christian gave her when they were dating! I had to be very careful with them because they had been dried but I love the sentiment behind these so much!! So when you see some dried roses in their post here, you’ll know the sweet thought that went behind them!

James and I had so much fun playing around with their groom and bridal details because Anah & Christian brought very unique items like Anah’s ring. Her ring isn’t the traditional diamond, it’s Christian’s birthstone and matched her wedding colors!! The bridal party went above and beyond to make this day special for Christian & Anah and we even had extra time before the ceremony to create fun videos for reels (& TikTok) with them!! After photographing a pretty epic ceremony just two days before, I thought there was no way another ceremony could beat that rainy day. But ya’ll Anah had one of the most epic ceremony entrances! Anah & her dad walked down grand staircase in the Taubman Museum and wow’d their guests! And James took one of my favorites shots during the ceremony where the guests and bridal party were looking at Anah and you can tell Christian was waiting in such anticipation to see his bride! He waited till she reached the end the of the aisle and his smile said it all!!

James and I count it as a huge blessing to work with God fearing couples like Christian & Anah. Their testimonies we heard during the ceremony & reception made me from their close friends and family made us feel even more blessed to be able to work with them! Their wedding day may have challenged us with our flash game during their portraits (which no lie I was a little nervous about that!!) but honestly these are some of my favorite portraits!! For natural light photographers, I have to admit I was pretty happy with the outcome of their portraits with the beautiful art galleries!
