Roanoke Engagement Session | Roanoke Wedding Photographer
I have known this groom since he was in DIAPERS ya’ll. So when these two inquired with us I will admit I was more excited than usual. Growing up in a small christian high school means you know EVERYONE. So I knew Mackenzie a little bit and always thought she was a gorgeous girl! Now that I have been behind the scenes planning her engagement session and wedding day I have really gotten to know just how sweet she is! This girl has a heart of gold and I loved hearing about what she does for a living, how Denton proposed, and of course, her wedding plans!
To see how much these two have grown up not only makes me feel old but really honored to be a part of their day! Planning engagement sessions can be difficult especially this time of year because you never know what the leaves are going to look like or how cold it will be! Mackenzie picked out the most perfect outfits and I was hoping it wouldn’t be too cold for her!
The dress she chose was perfection! The bright colors and flowy fabric photographed beautifully on her (yes of course I asked her twirl because why not!!). I love it when our couples plan a more dressy look and then a casual look to show more of their personalities! The past year or so we have been exploring Greenfield Park and this session we accidentally found this beautiful field hidden behind a bunch of trees! We have had several shoots in Greenfield and never saw this field till now. So I had a freak out moment!! To top it all off, Denton even told me how to get to another part of the park that I would later use at another shoot! That post coming soon! 🙂
This park is really the perfect place in the Roanoke area! It offers some beautiful mountain views, a pond, different trees and fields, and the best part is, its close to town! So we love photographing our couples here! Keep a look out for another Greenfield Park engagement session coming soon!
