Summer Mini Wedding at Rillhurst Farm | Culpeper Wedding Photographer

This wedding is different from any other wedding EHP has been a part of, because we’ve NEVER worked a (mostly) gifted wedding day… ever! And I have to say this lucky couple is for sure so deserving of this special gift! I have enjoyed getting to know Truvell & Diya (& their sweet girl Averie) the last few weeks and it was an honor to photograph their special day. SO much thought and care went into this wedding and the heart behind it all is truly what inspires me so much!

The owners of this beautiful farm were the ones behind this incredible giveaway and so gracious to host this wedding. If it weren’t for them getting us vendors all together in the first place (They actually found me from my Instagram Reels last year), this past Saturday would not have happened. The heart behind this event was to spoil one lucky couple that was trying to plan their wedding post pandemic. Which if you’re planning a wedding right now, you know the struggle that is finding your vendors!! This wedding boom right now is beyond wild for the industry and the best vendors book up quickly!!

So this past April the team behind Rillhurst Farm had the sweetest idea to do this giveaway at their open house. And spoiler alert, Diya won!!! And most of the vendors a part of this day offered their services for FREE!! When I say that the atmosphere at this wedding day- as far as vendors go- was next level I really mean that. When vendors all have the same mindset of quality over quantity it really shows in their work and attitude on the wedding day! Everything was perfect!!

I’m so glad Truvell & Diya had a beautiful wedding at Rillhurst even despite those random storms. The last several weddings have had rain at some point during the day and this day was no different. But fortunately, the rain came literally in the perfect pockets of downtime for photos! How Diya timed that I’ll never know haha but I’m glad it worked out! The ceremony had the perfect weather, in fact the rain cooled it down some. And this was yet another wedding that was saved by sharing a first look! If we hadn’t have done their portraits earlier in the day we would not have had the chance in their timeline to get the portraits they wanted. So they are beyond lucky!! 🙂
