This might sound weird coming from someone whose been photographing weddings for 5+ years but I had never been to Ravens Roost Overlook before this engagement session!!! I was very new to this iconic view and learned so much about this location and why photographers love it! The biggest lesson is to avoid this spot during the weekend in the fall…
Why you ask?? You can’t tell by these photos but Nathan & Madi had a big challenge to work around at this session. And honestly, it was the hardest thing to deal with and they nailed it anyways!! The challenge was 7+ photographers/sessions going on at the same time. I’m not even kidding! We had to fight for these iconic views and wait patiently for the numerous maternity, senior, and couples sessions at this spot. When there is a huge crowd of people it’s always hard to be snuggly in front of the camera. It was next level hard but truly, I’m so impressed by these two and their determination to get these photos!!
So in the future, I made notes for this spot so hopefully these challenges won’t be a big deal. At the end of the day, I’m super happy with how these turned out despite the other photographers wilding LITERALLY BESIDE US haha!
